Good Health Needs Good Information

In a world of emerging science and medical revolutions, information is being shared across a multitude of platforms. In the field of public health, the US has one of the strongest public health infrastructures across the globe. During the COVID-19 health pandemic, measures to control the spread of disease including vaccination development and quarantine protocols were developed and tested within the US and a handful of other countries. These guidelines were shared with the global population to help control and mitigate outbreaks. The key here was sharing information to benefit the whole world.

Fair Observer shares information in a similar or perhaps even better way. The authors and editors who hail from different corners of the globe provide in-depth analyses and share opinions on everything ranging from politics to economics, science and technology to health and medicine.

I have had the privilege of joining the team at the Fair Observer, after meeting Atul Singh, Founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, on Clubhouse, a social media app that connected people around the world to talk, listen and learn from each other in real-time. The app was the perfect answer to social isolation triggered by a viral pandemic. After listening to Atul speak in a room discussing global equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines, I knew I wanted to connect in real-life. After learning about the Fair Observer from a Zoom conversation, I knew I had to get involved.

Jennifer Wider

I am a women’s health expert, author and radio/TV personality in the US. I have dedicated my career to empowering people with information that will safeguard their health and the health of their loved ones. I have written hundreds of articles in dozens of publications, but I was drawn to the Fair Observer because it encourages a legion of citizen journalists to engage together for the common good: to express opinions freely and fairly, and educate readers around the world. It is a unique and noble pursuit, especially in a time where many people distrust the written word, here at the Fair Observer the written word is fact-checked and well-reasoned thanks to a rigorous editorial process. In all of my own articles, I have found this process to improve the end product.

The Debate On Transgender Athletes Is Fundamentally About Fairness

Whether you want to submit a piece, watch a video, listen to a podcast or engage in a discussion at a meetup, Fair Observer has something for anyone who believes in open and honest dialogue, and respectful debate. It has been an honor to become part of the team and I know you will get inspired simply by engaging with us.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Jennifer Wider

P.P.S. The number of donors is more important than the amount of the donation. So, even $1, $3 or $5 go a long way.

We are an independent nonprofit organization. We do not have a paywall or ads. We believe news must be free for everyone from Detroit to Dakar. Yet servers, images, newsletters, web developers and editors cost money. So, please become a recurring donor to keep Fair Observer free, fair and independent.
