Miriam Koktvedgaard Zeitzen

Miriam Koktvedgaard Zeitzen is an anthropologist at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. She received her PhD in Social Anthropology from University of Cambridge. Her dissertation research focused on elite Malay polygamy in urban Malaysia. Muslim polygamy in Southeast Asia remains a central research interest, but she researches all forms of polygamy worldwide. Her current research projects include exploring historical and contemporary polyandry in the Himalayas.
