Diya Uberoi is a lawyer with a background in health and human rights. She is currently pursuing a PhD in International Law at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies, Geneva, where her research focuses on the adjudication of socioeconomic rights in South Africa, India and the United States. From 2008-09 she worked as the principle research officer to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on health. She holds an LLM in Global Health Law from Georgetown Law Center, an MPhil in Psychology from the University of Cambridge, and a JD from Emory University School of Law.
