Dev Pathak currently teaches sociology at South Asian University, New Delhi. He holds a doctorate in sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Currently, his research interest consists of education, popular culture in South Asia. He has contributed articles to Journal of South Asian Studies, Contemporary Sociology, The Book Review, Sociological Bulletin, and International Journal of Humanistic Ideology. He was a visiting fellow at Brown International Advance Research Institutes of Brown University. He is currently the Reviews Editor of Society and Culture in South and South Asian Cultural Studies.
