Anna-Marie Brennan

Anna-Marie Brennan is a lecturer in law at the University of Liverpool, UK. Before joining the law school, she held an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Fellowship and was based at University College Cork in Ireland, where she lectured on public international law, international criminal law, business law and public law. During the course of her doctoral research, Brennan was also awarded the President James Slattery Gold Medal in Law, the Aidan Synnott Prize and a UCC Faculty of Law PhD Fellowship. She specializes in international law, in particular international criminal law, international human rights law and international humanitarian law. In the past, Brennan has worked on the defense team of Radovan Karadzic at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and has also assisted on drafting the final judgment in the Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo case at the International Criminal Court. She is currently the editor of the Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Rights Law.
